BRATTLEBORO — The Whetstone’s taproom on Frost Street was robbed over the weekend. The Brattleboro Police Department said officers responded Sunday morning to a burglary that occurred overnight at the Whetstone Beer Company.

Investigation revealed that cash was stolen from the register, as well as some beer from the cooler. The case remains under investigation; Officer Crandall is the investigating officer.

A Facebook post from the Whetstone Beer Co. noted that due to a break-in, the tap room will be closed until further notice.

“We’re thankful all our employees are safe and no one was hurt, and we appreciate the Brattleboro Police Department’s quick response this morning,” the post read. “We will be evaluating ways to further secure the space and ensure the safety of our employees before we decide when to open our doors again.”
